My go to salad and why I plan all my meals

Sometimes I have to get through some food that’s on its way out and every meal turns out a little random because it’s a “clean out the fridge” day.

This salad is on repeat because it’s not only delicious but it’s super filling and full of nutrition.

I plan every single meal and every single treat

Every morning before I eat breakfast, I write down my day of food. Sometimes precise measurements and sometimes a roundabout guesstimate, and sometimes just ballpark but I always have a very close idea to what the day will look like. Food decisions should be made with intellect and not impulse. That’s where the trouble and regret comes from: making decisions with spontaneity instead of thought. Have you ever said “screw it, I’m getting the ice cream”?

Ice cream isn’t the problem, SCREW IT is. It’s not a good feeling when you throw out your best laid plans for a single moment of pleasure just to experience a full day of regret.

How much different and how much more enjoyment would you have if you planned for that ice cream and made in intellectual choice about it instead of an impulsive emotional decision?

Every morning, sit down and ask yourself “what do I want to eat today that will make me feel my best?” and stick to that plan.
